Cathay Pacific CX 747 First class cabin

Cathay Pacific boeing 747 Seating configuation: 9 seats in 1-1-1 / 1-1 (A-D-K / 1A-1K) The new CX First Class is really a paradise in the sky, New seat is very private and wider than before, the mood lighting is fantastic, entertainment system more appealing and more on offer than BA/Qantas. Cabin service excellent. Only complains are the partitions do make it slightly claustrophobic when sleeping and also the closet mounted onto the suite that reduces the feet resting area. Wish they kept the overhead bins and not install that closet.

SriLankan Airlines UL A330 economy cabin

Flight Information:
From HKG to CMB via BKK
UL423
I flew UL twice and it was one of the many nice surprises I had in recent years. I wouldn't call UL a "small airline". Their wings stretch as far as to London, Paris, Rome, Dubai, Beijing and Tokyo. Relative to the average income and political stability in the country, SriLankan Airlines is doing a great job even after the break-away from Emirates
Date: 9-7-2009
Flight No. :UL423
Aircraft Type: A330-200
Departure Gate: 22
Loading:
CMB> BKK: 100%
BKK> HKG: 60%
Over 75% passengers in the flight from CMB to BKK got off at BKK. Only a minority continued their journey to HKG.
The loading of the flight from BKK to HKG was recorded as low as 60%.

Comfortability: Fair
Good ventilation (at least better than KA!!!). Unstable room temperature.
The dining table was set at a position that I needed to bend uncomfortably in order to eat my meals.

In-flight entertainment: Above average
Responses of the PTV system were a bit slow and odd ( at one time I could use my control to change the channels of PTV of my neighbor. I didn’t know why!). However, a wide variety of TV programmes, music channels and games was provided for me to choose from! The inflight magazine was worth reading, too.

Meals: Good
Dishes of different styles (Sri Lankan, Thai and Western ones) were provided. The tastes of the food were not bad overall.

Qantas Airways 747 Premium Economy cabin

LAYOUT : 2x4x2
QF29 from Hong Kong enroute to London Heathrow

When I first sat in Premium Economy, I thought it was a Business Class seat. It was wide and comfortable. The blankets were better than those in typical Economy. It seemed a world away from the chaos out back. IFE had a great choice and easily to reach as in the side armrest. Recline was very good and let me sleep 8 hours straight on the return journey.
Although the food didn't taste particularly good, I thought Qantas gave more thought to the menu than Air New Zealand's offering. Premium Economy was a great experience. With Business Class costing well over HKD 20,000, Premium Economy seemed a much more affordable way to get more space and peace on a long flight.

airfrance inflight meals coach class

Delta 77L Business Elite New sleeper seats

Delta BusinessElite DL 77L boeing 777-200LR sleeper seats
there are 43 seats in business class cabin,The seats recline to 77 inches long full flat bed and are arranged in a 1-2-1 configuration on board, allowing aisle access for all BusinessElite-class passengers. The seat is to include a 10.6-inch personal screen and PC power and USB ports.I have also heard that 1A,1D and 2A,2D have less room due to the curvature of the fuselageThe best individual seat(s) on this airplane IMO is 7A followed closely by 7D. 7A has a side table area on the right and partially enclosed by an aisle storage area. While this storage area might be bothersome as the FA's access it during takeoff / landing timeframes, from what I could tell, there was very little activity with it during flight. 7D also has a similar configuration but is located in front of the lavatory so I'm not sure how bothersome that could become during flight (the toilet is actually in the rear of the lavatory which is also very large so I doubt it would be much of an issue).

is it worth the extra money upgrade exit row seat

Exit Row Seat —Coach Choice seating Better travel experiences with more leg room.
Was it worth the $15 to upgrade from a standard economy seat to an exit row seat for a three-hour flight? Absolutely. (I'm 6' 4", and I need all the legroom I can get.)

This picture shows row 40 of a delta Airlines 757-300. I had the window seat on the left side of the plane (40A). Exit row passengers get to board right after the SkyTeam Elite members, so I was able to get a couple shots of the interior before any people started walking through.
