air france recently introduced the possibility of booking upgrade awards online. This option is available to all Flying Blue members with a sufficient balance of Award Miles and an eligible ticket on:
AIR FRANCE
KLM
Air Europa
Kenya Airways
Delta airlines
Aircalin
Once you upgrade from coach seats to business class or first class seats use your miles, you will be sent an e-mail confirming your booking. Please note that upgrade awards must be booked at least 72 hours before departure for AIR FRANCE and KLM.
Now, thanks to recent improvements in the ‘Manage your reservations’ tool at www.airfrance.com and ‘Manage My Booking’ tool at www.klm.com, you can also claim an online refund when cancelling award tickets. Refunds can only be granted for award tickets booked online. In addition, the refund must be claimed before the journey begins. Partial refunds or refunds on Promo Awards@ are not applicable. After the applicable cancellation fees have been paid, you will have your Award Miles credited back to your account. In addition, any taxes paid will be refunded to your credit card.
