Available since October 2010 on the entire international long-haul network served by Air France’s Boeing 777s and Airbus A340s/A330s (i.e. 90% of destinations), Air France will gradually be installing the Premium economy cabin on its Airbus A380s starting next month.
Additional comfort
The Premium Voyageur for the Airbus A380 airplane will be located on the upper deck with 38 seats. The Air France A380 will fly from Paris-CDG to Washington from June 6, 2011.
The american city will be the 5th destination served by the airline’s Super jumbo, after Paris to New York CDG JFK in November 2009, Johannesburg in February 2010 Paris to Tokyo narita CDG NRT in September 2010 and Montreal in April 2011.
Premium Voyageur passengers have access to lounges at Paris/Charles-de-Gaulle 2,
the Paris-Orly Hall 3 and to the KLM lounge at Amsterdam/Schiphol
With Premium economy cabin, Air France offers a very competitive range of fares for a private cabin offering 40% additional space compared with the Voyageur cabin;
preserved personal space with a 48 cm-wide fixed-shell seat which reclines to 123°
faster and easier services at the airport with access to Business class check-in counters and the Business class lounge, boarding at your convenience and priority baggage delivery;
an additional baggage allowance to most destinations;
all the benefits and services of AIR FRANCE-KLM, such as the Flying Blue frequent flyer programme. A trip in the Premium Voyageur cabin enables passengers to earn Miles faster.
In this range of intermediate cabin, Air France is the first European airline to offer fixed-shell seats and the first airline in the world to offer so much legroom.
