It seems these new credit cards were created for the traveler who is looking for the exclusive benefits, such as Red Carpet Club membership and Economy Plus seating. Additional benefits include, up to 5,000 or 10,000 miles that count toward elite status, and/or double and triple miles toward redeeming an award ticket.
